At APT, we limit each class to two students per instructor. This ensures everyone gets a personalized learning experience. Students have their instructor’s full attention at all times. The instructor monitors their progress and guides them every step of the way.
This approach also applies to hands-on training sessions. Each student gets several hours to practice and perfect their injection skills.
Our Calgary courses are led by APT Founder and Lead Practitioner Patricia Pezzano, RN, BSN, B.Sc (Biol), (NANS). She has over 20 years of experience teaching Botox training to healthcare professionals. She is also the founder of the successful medical spa APT Medical Aesthetics.
Our Calgary courses include seven hours of hands-on injection training. You will practice on live models with different skin types and treatment concerns. Each student works with up to eight patients. Training focuses on treatment areas in the upper and lower face.

This two-day course is for registered medical professionals. It combines university-level pre-course learning, practical demonstrations, and hands-on training on live models. It is the minimum required to begin practising toxin and dermal filler treatments. It can also count toward the internationally recognized International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.
APT is the only training centre in North America offering authentic third-party certification. We work with MATA training and OTHM — an internationally recognized awarding body. Your experience at APT can count toward a globally recognized certificate.
The certification requires university-level pre-course work (230 UK CME), three days of intensive training, a logbook, and short answer questions. Everything is independently assessed by OTHM. Other courses use only their own internal standards — not independently evaluated criteria.

Learn to administer dermal fillers using the cannula technique. This one-day course covers similar topics to the Basic Filler Training Course. It uses the same pre-course material and 2:1 ratio with 7-8 live models. Hands-on training focuses on cannulas in addition to needles.
This 1-day course follows Foundation Basic Filler and Lower Face Cannula Training. It focuses on advanced areas like the temples and tear troughs. It also introduces cannula injections and Radiesse — a longer-lasting calcium hydroxyapatite filler. It uses the same 2:1 ratio with 7-8 live models.
We recommend having at least 50 patients injected before taking this course. Adverse events in the temples and tear troughs can be severe and permanent.
This comprehensive one-day course covers hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for lip enhancement. It includes the same pre-course material as other filler courses. You will learn both cannula and needle techniques for lip injections.
The focus is on achieving natural, proportional lips through volume, definition, support, and contour.
This online course covers the safe use of laser and intense light technology. Topics include hair reduction and skin rejuvenation. Buying a laser machine is a major investment. This course helps you make the right choice for your practice and client profile.
You will learn core laser technology so you can evaluate machines on the market and choose the right one for your business.
This intensive one-day course is for dentists adding neurotoxin and lip filler services to their practice. Pre-course material covers anatomy, contraindications, risks, and hyaluronidase use for emergency interventions. Hands-on training includes cosmetic toxin injections, TMJ injections, and lower face dermal filler. We use the same 2:1 ratio as all APT courses.
APT Injection Training is the preferred provider of the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM). We are the only course offering an International Certification in Injectable Therapies in North America. Our courses give you the skills and certification to safely administer Botulinum Toxin A (Botox®) and Hyaluronic Acid for facial rejuvenation.
