Our Botox Training Approach

APT Injection Training is a leading provider of comprehensive Botox training for registered healthcare professionals in Canada. We offer a Certificate of Attendance and an International Certification in Injectable Therapies, among other intensive medical aesthetics training courses.

We take pride in empowering our students with endless career opportunities with our commitment to offering nothing but high-quality education. Our cosmetic injection courses for Vancouver nurses provide in-depth theoretical-based learning and practical knowledge based on the latest available technology and scientific advancements in Botox treatment techniques.

These courses are specifically designed for all registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and practical nurses. But we also have other Botox training programs for licensed medical professionals interested in crossing over the world of medical aesthetics.

1. Intimate Learning Environment with Strict 2:1 Trainee to Trainer Ratio

To guarantee each student’s successful learning experience, APT limits each class to two students per one instructor. We have proven that this personalized and experiential teaching method allows us to ensure that our students are getting the maximum amount of support and tools necessary to immerse themselves in mastering cosmetic injectable therapies fully. They have their instructor’s full attention, carefully guiding them every step of the way and monitoring their learning progress.

We also observe this during the hands-on part of our Botox training sessions. Each student gets several hours focused on practicing and perfecting their injection skills. Because it is only an intimate class setting, students do not have to worry about running out of time because of taking turns or the lack of live patient models to work on, which is often the case in large classes. As a result, students who complete our cosmetic injection courses for Vancouver nurses always come out confident and job-ready.

2. Learn from the Masters of Botox Injections

Become a student of the best cosmetic injectors in the world of medical aesthetics. Our cosmetic injection courses for Vancouver nurses are facilitated by our Head of Faculty and APT Founder and Lead Practitioner Patricia Pezzano, BSc (Biol), (NANS), RPN. Aside from having more than 20 years of experience teaching Botox training courses to healthcare professionals, Patricia is also the woman behind one of the most successful luxury medical spas in Canada, APT Medical Aesthetics.

3. Hands-on Botox Training on Live Models

Our Botox training program comes with a comprehensive review of university-level pre-course materials about the theoretical aspects of toxins and dermal fillers, which will be sent to students in advance. We highly encourage you to complete the online part of the course before your actual hands-on training.

Our cosmetic injection courses for Vancouver nurses typically include a lecture in the morning about the theoretical concepts in facial anatomy, treatment applications, risks and benefits. The next part consists of seven (7) hours worth of hands-on injection training for each student. It involves an actual demonstration and practical hands-on training on how to safely and effectively administer Botox and dermal filler injections focused on treatment areas in the upper and lower face. Each student will be provided with sufficient live patient models to practice on. There will be up to eight (8) patients with different skin types and treatment concerns.

Who Can Become a Certified Medical Injector?

Although we have cosmetic injection courses for Vancouver nurses, APT Injection Training also offers other Botox training programs for the following medical professionals.

  • Licensed physicians of all clinical specialties
  • Registered nurses
  • Nurse practitioners
  • Registered practical nurses
  • Dental surgeons

Invest in yourself by taking our Botox training courses. Our highly specialized training will make you confident about your future with a sought-after position and practice as a medical aesthetics doctor or a professional cosmetic injector.

Our Training Courses

Aside from our cosmetic injection courses for Vancouver nurses, APT Injection Training also has other training centred on facial rejuvenation.

These include:

1. Foundation Toxin and Dermal Filler Certificate of Attendance

It’s a 2-day training course intended for registered medical professionals. It combines critical theoretical university level pre-course learning, practical demonstration of procedures, and extensive hands-on training on live models. It is a stand-alone course that is the minimum required to begin practising toxin and dermal filler treatments. It can also be used as credit toward the more intensive, internationally recognized International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.

2. International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.

APT Injection Training is the only training centre in North America to offer authentic third-party certification in conjunction with our UK partner, MATA training and OTHM—an internationally recognized awarding body. This means that you can apply the experience you have gained in our courses toward a globally recognized International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.

The international certification involves completion of extensive, university-level pre course work (representing 230 UK CME), three days of intensive training, completion of a logbook and short answer questions that are all independently assessed by OTHM, who then awards the certification. Other courses that “certify” are really doing it only to their standards, not independently developed and evaluated criteria.

APT Injection Training has been independently assessed, including our processes, training materials, and other related matters and certified by a recognized independent organization. It is a valuable endorsement that promotes the level of expertise and quality that you can expect from our Botox training courses for Vancouver nurses.

3. Basic Lower Face Cannula Training–Hyaluronic Acid

Learn an adjunctive way to administer dermal fillers on clients via the cannula technique. This 1-day course training will go over similar topics in the Basic Filler Training Course, including pre-course reading material, employing the same 2:1 trainee: trainer ratio with approximately 7-8 live models. Still, the hands-on training will involve the use of cannulas predominately in addition to needles.

4. Advanced Dermal Filler Training–Hyaluronic Acid & Radiesse

This is the next step after Foundation Basic Filler Injection and the Lower Face Cannula Training Program. It’s a 1-day training course that continues with cannula injections, focuses on more advanced treatment areas, such as the temples and tear troughs and introduces the use of Radiesse – a longer-lasting filler composed of calcium hydroxyapatite. It includes pre-course reading material, employs the same 2:1 trainee: trainer ratio with approximately 7-8 live models for hands-on injections. This is highly recommended for professionals with prior experience of injecting at least 50 patients before taking this course as the adverse events in the temples and tear troughs can be severe and permanent.

5. Lip Filler Training

A comprehensive 1-day hands-on training on live models and lecture, covering the latest types of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for lip enhancement. It involves the same comprehensive pre-course material as the other filler courses. It delves into different lip injection protocols combining both cannula and needle technique. The focus is on lip analysis and how to employ various techniques to achieve volume, definition, support and contour but, most importantly, to obtain natural-looking, proportional lips that clients will love.

6. The Laser Module Course

This online training course is expertly written to support you with your theoretical learning on the safe and effective use of laser and intense light technology for cosmetic treatments, such as hair reduction and skin rejuvenation. Purchasing a laser machine is a significant investment that requires in-depth laser knowledge to make sure you make the correct purchase for your practice and client profile. This course will help you do that by educating you on the core laser technology, so you understand the individual machine nuances as you use them in your business. The objective is to enable practitioners to succinctly assess the different laser machines on the market to help you choose the right tool for your practice.

7. Dental Filler & Botox Training

It’s an intensive one-day training course for dentists seeking to add neurotoxin injection and lip filler services to their current scope of practice. It involves pre-course theoretical material (which covers both neurotoxin and dermal filler) that delves into anatomy, recognizes contraindications and potential risks, and uses hyaluronidase and emergency procedures. The hands-on injection portion will include cosmetic toxin injections, TMJ injections, lips and lower face dermal filler indications. We employ the same, customized 2:1 trainee: trainer ratio in all of our APT courses to ensure maximum hands-on injection and confidence when leaving the course.

Why Choose APT Injection Training

In addition to the quality of our trainers and the extensive pre-course material combined with intensive hands-on injecting, we are the preferred trainer for the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM).
