Learn from Industry Leading Experts

Our training is taught by reputable aesthetic injectors with years of practice and experience. APT Founder and Lead Practitioner Patricia Pezzano, BSc, BSc (NANS), RPN leads our Edmonton Botox training. She has over 20 years of professional experience. She shares invaluable insights on achieving the perfect practice in both toxin and dermal fillers.

Hands-on Botox Training on Live Models

Before the course, students receive university-level pre-course materials. These cover the theory of toxins and dermal fillers. You should complete the online portion before your hands-on training day.

The first hour is a lecture reviewing key concepts. The second phase includes a live demonstration by one of our trainers. Hands-on injecting by students continues from mid-morning until the end of the day. Students learn to administer facial injections safely in both the upper and lower face.

Intimate Class Settings

We use a strict 2:1 trainee to trainer ratio. Smaller classes deliver better results. After years of using this approach, our students consistently show to be:

APT Injection Training offers a wide range of courses in facial rejuvenation, including:

Foundation Toxin and Dermal Filler Certificate of Attendance

This 2-day course is for registered medical professionals. It combines university-level pre-course learning, practical demonstrations, and hands-on training on live models. It is the minimum required to begin practising toxin and dermal filler treatments. It can also count toward the internationally recognized International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.

APT is the only training centre in North America offering true third-party certification. We work with MATA training and OTHM — an internationally recognized awarding body. Your experience at APT can count toward a globally recognized certificate.

The certification requires university-level pre-course work (230 UK CME), 3 days of intensive training, a logbook, and short answer questions. Everything is independently assessed by OTHM. Other courses use only their own internal standards. APT has been independently assessed and certified. This is a valuable endorsement of the quality you can expect from our Botox training courses for Edmonton students.

Basic Lower Face Cannula Training–Hyaluronic Acid

Learn to administer dermal fillers using the cannula technique. This 1-day course covers similar topics to the Basic Filler Training Course. It uses the same pre-course material and 2:1 ratio with 7-8 live models. Hands-on training uses cannulas in addition to needles.

Advanced Dermal Filler Training–Hyaluronic Acid & Radiesse

This 1-day course follows Foundation Basic Filler and Lower Face Cannula Training. It focuses on advanced areas like the temples and tear troughs. It introduces cannula injections and Radiesse — a longer-lasting calcium hydroxyapatite filler. The course uses the same 2:1 ratio with 7-8 live models.

We recommend having at least 50 patients injected before taking this course. Adverse events in the temples and tear troughs can be severe and permanent.

Lip Filler Training

This comprehensive 1-day course covers hands-on training on live models. You will learn the latest hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for lip enhancement. The course covers both cannula and needle techniques. The focus is on achieving natural, proportional lips through volume, definition, support, and contour.

The Laser Module Course

This online course covers the safe use of laser and intense light technology. Topics include hair reduction and skin rejuvenation. Buying a laser machine is a major investment. This course helps you choose the right equipment for your practice.

Dental Filler & Botox Training

This intensive 1-day course is for dentists adding neurotoxin and lip filler services to their practice. Pre-course material covers anatomy, contraindications, risks, hyaluronidase use, and emergency procedures. Hands-on training includes cosmetic toxin injections, TMJ injections, and lower face dermal filler. We use the same 2:1 ratio as all APT courses.
