Discover new career opportunities in medical aesthetics. Become a skilled cosmetic injector with APT Injection Training’s Botox courses for Los Angeles nurses.

Botox was the first FDA-approved treatment for cosmetic use. It remains one of the most in-demand non-surgical procedures globally. In 2018, over 7.4 million Botox injections were performed in the United States alone.

APT Injection Training offers US-based students top-quality aesthetic programs and industry-recognized certification. Our Los Angeles Botox training is open to registered nurses, nurse practitioners, practical nurses, physicians, and other licensed medical professionals who want to forge a career as expert Botox and dermal filler injectors.

Our Botox Training Approach

APT Injection Training offers some of the industry’s most impressive cosmetic injection training. Our introductory course is the Foundation Toxin and Filler Certificate of Attendance. Students can upgrade to the International Certification in Injectable Therapies.

Our Botox courses for Los Angeles nurses cover theory and practical training based on industry best practices. We also have intermediate and advanced programs for dentists and physicians looking to expand their practice.

We have trained some of the best cosmetic injection specialists in the US and Canada. Here is why our Los Angeles courses stand out.

1. Intimate Learning Environment with Strict 2:1 Trainee to Trainer Ratio

We limit each class to two students per instructor. Students get their instructor’s full attention during lectures and hands-on training. They can ask questions freely and never have to wait for their turn.

Students are guaranteed multiple hours of dedicated practice. By the end, they feel confident performing injections in a clinical setting.

2. Learn from the Masters of Botox Injections

Our Los Angeles courses are led by APT Founder and Lead Practitioner Patricia Pezzano, RN, BSN, B.Sc (Biol), (NANS). She has many years of experience training cosmetic injectors. She is also the driving force behind APT Medical Aesthetics in Oakville.

3. Hands-on Botox Training on Live Models

Our Los Angeles courses include at least seven hours of hands-on injection training. Expert demonstrations are followed by actual practice on live models. Each student works with up to eight patients with different skin types and treatment concerns, focusing on the lower face.

Who Can Become a Certified Medical Injector?

APT Injection Training’s Los Angeles courses are open to the following medical professionals:

  • Licensed physicians of all clinical specialties
  • Registered nurses
  • Nurse practitioners
  • Registered practical nurses
  • Dental surgeons

Our Additional Training Courses

In addition to our Los Angeles courses, APT Injection Training offers other courses in facial rejuvenation:

1. Foundation Toxin and Dermal Filler Certificate of Attendance

This two-day course is for registered medical professionals. It combines university-level pre-course learning, practical demonstrations, and hands-on training on live models. It is the minimum required to begin practising toxin and dermal filler treatments. It can also count toward the internationally recognized International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.

2. International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies

APT is the only training centre in North America offering authentic third-party certification. We work with MATA training and OTHM — an internationally recognized awarding body. Your experience at APT can count toward a globally recognized certificate.

The certification requires university-level pre-course work (230 UK CME), three days of intensive training, a logbook, and short answer questions. Everything is independently assessed by OTHM. Other courses use only their own internal standards. APT has been independently assessed and certified by a recognized organization.

3. Basic Lower Face Cannula Training–Hyaluronic Acid

Learn to administer dermal fillers using the cannula technique. This one-day course covers similar topics to the Basic Filler Training Course. It uses the same pre-course material and 2:1 ratio with 7-8 live models. Hands-on training uses cannulas in addition to needles.

4. Advanced Dermal Filler Training–Hyaluronic Acid & Radiesse

This 1-day course follows Foundation Basic Filler and Lower Face Cannula Training. It focuses on advanced areas like the temples and tear troughs. It introduces Radiesse — a longer-lasting calcium hydroxyapatite filler. The course uses the same 2:1 ratio with 7-8 live models.

We recommend having at least 50 patients injected before taking this course. Adverse events in the temples and tear troughs can be severe and permanent.

5. Lip Filler Training

This comprehensive one-day course covers hands-on training on live models. You will learn the latest hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for lip enhancement. The course covers both cannula and needle techniques. The focus is on achieving natural, proportional lips through volume, definition, support, and contour.

6. The Laser Module Course

This online course covers the safe use of laser and intense light technology. Topics include hair reduction and skin rejuvenation. Buying a laser machine is a major investment. This course helps you choose the right equipment for your practice.

7. Dental Filler & Botox Training

This intensive one-day course is for dentists adding neurotoxin and lip filler services to their practice. Pre-course material covers anatomy, contraindications, risks, and hyaluronidase use for emergencies. Hands-on training includes cosmetic toxin injections, TMJ injections, and lower face dermal filler. We use the same 2:1 ratio as all APT courses.

Why Choose APT Injection Training

APT Injection Training is the preferred provider of the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM). We are the only centre in North America offering an International Certification in Injectable Therapies. Our courses give you the skills and certification to safely administer Botulinum Toxin A (Botox®) and Hyaluronic Acid for facial rejuvenation.
