We offer intensive training programs in non-surgical facial rejuvenation — including Botox and dermal filler injections — for registered nurses and nurse practitioners. We have been producing skilled nurse injectors for many years. Our graduates go on to work in private practices, hospitals, and medical spas.
Completing our Botox training in Ontario opens doors to a rewarding career in cosmetic injections. Sign up for our Scarborough nurses courses and train at our state-of-the-art facility in Oakville, Ontario.
APT Injection Training has delivered quality education for over 20 years. We are the only training institution in Canada offering true international certification. We are also the preferred trainer for the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM).
Our Scarborough courses balance in-depth theory with practical knowledge. They are based on the latest technology and scientific advancements in Botox treatment techniques. We also offer Botox training for licensed doctors and dental surgeons exploring the world of medical aesthetics.
We limit each class to two students per instructor. Every student gets the support and attention needed to master their injection skills. No one has to wait for their turn or run out of time with patient models.
Students are fully immersed in the hands-on portion of the course. They get several hours of demonstration and practice on live patient models. This approach ensures confident, job-ready graduates.
Our Scarborough courses are led by APT Founder and Lead Practitioner Patricia Pezzano, BSc (Biol), (NANS), RPN. She has over 20 years of experience teaching Botox training courses to healthcare professionals. She is also the founder of APT Medical Aesthetics — one of the most successful luxury medical spas in Canada.
Students receive university-level pre-course materials on the theory of toxins and dermal fillers. These are sent in advance. We encourage you to review them before your hands-on training day.
The first part of the course covers facial anatomy, treatment applications, risks, and benefits. This is followed by seven hours of hands-on injection training. Each student practices on live patient models with different skin types and treatment concerns, focusing on the upper and lower face. We prepare up to eight patients per class.
Our Botox training in Ontario is open to all registered medical professionals, including:
In addition to our Scarborough courses, APT Injection Training offers other courses in facial rejuvenation:
This 2-day course is for registered medical professionals. It combines university-level pre-course learning, practical demonstrations, and hands-on training on live models. It is the minimum required to begin practising toxin and dermal filler treatments. It can also count toward the internationally recognized International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.
APT is the only training centre in North America offering authentic third-party certification. We partner with MATA training and OTHM — an internationally recognized awarding body. Your experience at APT can count toward a globally recognized certificate.
The certification requires university-level pre-course work (230 UK CME), three days of intensive training, a logbook, and short answer questions. Everything is independently assessed by OTHM. Other courses use only their own internal standards. APT has been independently assessed and certified by a recognized organization.
Learn to administer dermal fillers using the cannula technique. This 1-day course covers similar topics to the Basic Filler Training Course. It uses pre-course reading material and the same 2:1 ratio with 7-8 live models. Hands-on training uses cannulas in addition to needles.
This 1-day course follows Foundation Basic Filler Injection and Lower Face Cannula Training. It continues with cannula injections and focuses on advanced areas like the temples and tear troughs. It introduces Radiesse — a longer-lasting calcium hydroxyapatite filler. The course uses the same 2:1 ratio with 7-8 live models.
We recommend having at least 50 patients injected before taking this course. Adverse events in the temples and tear troughs can be severe and permanent.
This comprehensive 1-day course covers hands-on training on live models. You will learn the latest hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for lip enhancement. The course covers both cannula and needle techniques. The focus is on achieving natural, proportional lips through volume, definition, support, and contour.
This online course covers the safe use of laser and intense light technology. Topics include hair reduction and skin rejuvenation. Buying a laser machine is a major investment. This course helps you choose the right equipment for your practice.
This intensive one-day course is for dentists adding neurotoxin and lip filler services to their practice. Pre-course material covers anatomy, contraindications, risks, hyaluronidase use, and emergency procedures. Hands-on training includes cosmetic toxin injections, TMJ injections, and lower face dermal filler. We use the same 2:1 ratio as all APT courses.
Train with industry leaders in Botulinum Toxin A (Botox®) and Hyaluronic Acid for non-surgical facial rejuvenation. APT Injection Training is the preferred trainer for the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM).
