(289) 271-5718Botox injections and dermal fillers are among the most popular non-surgical treatments in North America. In fact, 7.4 million Botox treatments were administered in the US in 2018 alone. Many nurses and medical professionals are upskilling through cosmetic injection training to meet this demand.
APT Injection Training teaches registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, and other medical professionals how to administer Botox and dermal filler injections. Our courses have helped many professionals in the Hamilton area become skilled aesthetic injectors.
Boost your career with internationally recognized cosmetic injection courses for Hamilton nurses. Our courses are led by top injectors and held at our state-of-the-art facility in Oakville, Ontario.
With over 20 years of experience, APT Injection Training is a trusted provider of Botox training in Hamilton and surrounding areas.
We offer a variety of courses for all experience levels. Our two main internationally recognized certifications are the Foundation Toxin & Basic Filler Certificate of Attendance and the International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.
Here is what makes our courses stand out:
We keep class sizes to a maximum of two students per instructor. This ensures every professional gets the most out of the learning experience. Students receive full educational and personal support throughout the course.
Our Hamilton courses are led by APT Founder and Lead Practitioner Patricia Pezzano, RN, BSN, B.Sc (Biol), (NANS). She has nearly 20 years of experience teaching Botox training courses. She is also the owner of one of Canada’s leading luxury medical spas, APT Medical Aesthetics.
Our Botox training program includes university-level pre-course materials. These cover the theory of injectable Botox and dermal fillers. Materials are sent in advance so you can complete the online portion before attending live training.
The course has two main components — lecture and hands-on training. The lecture covers facial anatomy, treatment options, risks, and benefits. Hands-on training runs for 7 hours. Students learn to safely administer cosmetic injectables on various face areas. Each student works with multiple patient models with different treatment concerns and skin types.
Our courses are suitable for Hamilton nurses and other medical professionals, including:
In addition to our Hamilton courses, APT Injection Training offers other courses in facial rejuvenation:
This two-day course combines theoretical pre-course learning, practical demonstrations, and hands-on training. It is the minimum required to begin administering toxin and dermal filler injections. It can also be used as a foundation toward the International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.
APT is the only institution in Canada offering recognized third-party certification. We partner with MATA training and OTHM. Your experience at APT can count toward a globally recognized certificate.
The certification requires comprehensive university-level pre-course work, three days of immersive training, a logbook, and short answers assessed by OTHM. Other courses use only their own internal standards — not independently developed criteria.
This one-day course teaches an alternative way to administer dermal fillers using the cannula technique. It covers similar topics to the Basic Filler Training Course. It uses pre-course reading material and the same 2:1 ratio with 7-8 live models. Hands-on training uses cannulas in addition to needles.
This one-day course follows the Foundation Basic Filler and Lower Face Cannula Training Program. It continues with cannula injections and focuses on advanced areas like the temples and tear troughs. Students also learn to use Radiesse — a longer-lasting calcium hydroxyapatite filler. The course uses the same 2:1 ratio with 7-8 live models.
Adverse events in the temples and tear troughs can be severe and permanent. We recommend having at least 50 patients injected before taking this course.
This one-day course includes a lecture and hands-on training on live models. It covers the latest hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for lip enhancement. The course covers both cannula and needle techniques. Students learn to achieve natural, proportional lips through definition, volume, support, and contour.
This online course teaches the theory of safe laser and intense light technology use. Topics include hair reduction and skin rejuvenation. Buying a laser machine is a major investment. This course helps you choose the right equipment by teaching core laser concepts and individual machine nuances.
This intensive one-day course is for dentists adding neurotoxin and lip filler services to their practice. Pre-course material covers anatomy, contraindications, risks, hyaluronidase use, and emergency procedures. Hands-on training includes cosmetic toxin injections, TMJ injections, and lower face dermal filler.
APT Injection Training is the preferred provider of the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM). Our courses give you the skills and certification to safely administer Botulinum Toxin A (Botox®) and Hyaluronic Acid for facial rejuvenation.
