Here’s what makes our cosmetic injection courses stand out:
We believe that an intimate learning environment is conducive for accelerated learning and for effectively honing specialized skills. This is why we strictly keep our class size to a maximum of two students per instructor. With this methodology in place, we are able to ensure that each professional is able to get the most out of the learning experience, guided by sufficient educational and emotional support.
Our cosmetic injection courses for Hamilton nurses and other medical professionals are facilitated by seasoned experts in the world of medical aesthetics, overseen by our Head of Faculty and APT Founder and Lead Practitioner, Patricia Pezzano, RN, BSN, B.Sc (Biol), (NANS). With almost 20 years of experience teaching Botox training courses, she is also the owner of one of the leading luxury medical spas in Canada, APT Medical Aesthetics.
Our Botox training program includes university-level materials including the theoretical principles behind injectable Botox and dermal fillers. These pre-course materials are sent to the professionals in advance in order to prepare for the course properly and complete the online portion before attending live training.
As mentioned above, there are two main components in our instructional design: lectures and hands-on training. The lecture includes theoretical concepts such as facial anatomy, treatment options and applications, the risks and benefits for each treatment, and so on. After the lecture, the hands-on cosmetic injection training will run for 7 hours. Students are closely guided on how to safely and effectively administer cosmetic injectables on various treatment areas of the face. Each student will be provided with a variety of patient models – each having different treatment concerns and skin types.
Our cosmetic injection courses are suitable for Hamilton nurses and various other medical professionals. This includes:
In addition to our cosmetic injection courses for Hamilton nurses, APT Injection Training offers other courses centred on facial rejuvenation such as:
This is a two-day course that combines vital theoretical pre-course learning, practical demonstration on how procedures are done, and hands-on training. This entire course is the standalone minimum required training in order for a medical professional to begin administering toxin and dermal filler injections. It can also be used as a foundation to move towards the International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.
APT Injection Training is the only institution in Canada that offers a recognized third-party certification from our partner in the U.K., MATA training and OTHM. This means that the experience you get from our courses can be used to work towards a globally-recognized International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.
This international certification involves the completion of comprehensive university-level pre-course work, three days of immersive training, and the completion of a logbook and short answers that are assessed and awarded by OTHM.
Other courses that claim to “certify” only do so according to their own standards – and not in accordance with an independently developed and evaluated criteria.
This one-day training course teaches professionals an adjunctive way to administer dermal fillers on clients via the cannula technique. This training will go over similar topics in the Basic Filler Training Course. It also includes pre-course reading material and employs the same 2:1 trainee to trainer ratio with approximately seven to eight live models for hands-on practical application. However, in addition to needles, the hands-on training will predominantly involve the use of cannulas.
This one day training course is the next step after completing the Foundation Basic Filler Injection and the Lower Face Cannula Training Program. The course continues with cannula injections, focusing on more advanced treatment areas – such as the temples and tear troughs. Students will also learn the uses of Radiesse, a longer-lasting filler composed of calcium hydroxyapatite. The overall learning experience includes pre-course reading material, employs the same 2:1 trainee: trainer ratio, and has a hands-on application with approximately 7-8 live models.
The adverse events in the temples and tear troughs can be severe and permanent. Due to the delicate nature of these procedures, this course is recommended only for professionals with prior experience of injecting at least 50 patients before taking this course.
This extensive one-day course includes a lecture and hands-on application on live models. This course covers the latest types of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for lip enhancement. It delves into different lip injection protocols combining both cannula and needle technique. Professionals are trained to analyze the lips and to employ various techniques to achieve definition, volume, support and contour. Most importantly, they are taught how to obtain natural-looking, proportional lips that clients will love.
This online training course is designed and written by experts to teach professionals the theoretical knowledge on how to use laser and intense light technology for cosmetic treatments – such as hair reduction and skin rejuvenation – in a way that is safe and effective.
A secondary objective of the course is to enable practitioners to succinctly assess the various laser machines on the market and choose the right tool for the business. Purchasing a laser machine is a significant investment; therefore, in-depth laser knowledge is needed to make the right choice. This course will help you do that by educating you on the core concepts of laser technology and individual machine nuances.
This course is an intensive one-day session designed for dentists seeking to add neurotoxin injection and lip filler services to their current scope of practice. It involves pre-course theoretical material that delves into anatomy, contraindications, potential risks, the uses hyaluronidase, and emergency procedures.
The hands-on injection portion will include cosmetic toxin injections, TMJ injections, lips and lower face dermal filler indications.
APT Injection Training is the preferred training provider by the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM).
